All India Central Excise Inspectors’ Association XVIIIth National convention was held at Trivandrum on 27th and 28th June 2014, hosted by Kerala circle at Hotel HYCINTH, Manorama Road, Thampanoor, Trivandrum.

 All India Central Excise Inspectors’ Association XVIIIth National convention was held at Trivandrum on 27^th and 28^th June 2014, hosted by Kerala circle at Hotel HYCINTH, Manorama Road, Thampanoor, Trivandrum. The inaugural function was started with lighting of lamp by Shri.O.Rajagopal (Former Union Minister of State for Railways) which followed by inaugural address by Shri.O.Rajagopal ,appreciated the work of Central Excise Inspectors and their dedication towards the country development. Further, he told that it is really unfortunate that Inspectors were forced to retired just single promotion in their entire carriers spanning 35 and more years, which was a huge disincentive to work sincerely. He also advised to the All India Office Bearers to address this problem to the CBEC for redressal about stagnation and disparities which are very much prevailing in this cadre region wise. The Former Minister also assured this Association that he will take up this issue with the concern ministry for solution.

 In this regard, it is really unfortunate for the Inspectors cadre as they are not getting the basic immunities and required infrastructures as per the norms laid down by the CBEC and DGHRD. Inspector cadre are really working in very unhygienic office atmosphere as they are sitting in the hub of files on which the dust are accumulated, cockroaches and rats are dancing on them due to that many officers suffering with asthama, allergies and other diseases. Even they don’t have the good infrastructure for doing their work in satisfactory manners like table, chair and computer systems, whereas the IRS Officers are enjoying the luxurious infrastructures. This kind of problems we should be taken up with the zonal heads authority to redress.

Further this program was followed by the All India Office Berriars and their speeches  as given below:-

1). Shri.K.G.Ajit Kumar, Secretary General, AICEIA, presented a Action Taken Report.

2).Shri.A.Satish, President ,AICEIA, conformed the Committee Meet of AICEIA which was held at Mumbai on 22^nd and 23^rd February.

3). Shri Ashish Bisvas, Treasurer, presented the receipt and payment accounts/balance sheet before the members.
