The collections of
indirect revenue mainly excise duty, service tax and customs duties during
April-October,2014 was Rs. 2,85,126 crores or 5.6 per cent over the
corresponding period the previous year against the Budget target for growth in
indirect tax collections 25.8 per cent.
It is unlikely that
the Centre will meet its target from Indirect Tax revenue during this fiscal
year.
